What We Teach in Our Art Classes

🎨 Tools and Techniques:

• Brushes of All Shapes and Sizes: Your child will learn to choose and use brushes that create everything from delicate strokes in watercolor to bold accents in acrylic painting.

• Spatulas for Texture: Our instructors will show how using a spatula can produce fascinating textures and dimensional strokes, helping to develop fine motor skills and encourage them to think creatively.

• Sponges and Rags: With these simple and fun tools, children can experiment with blending effects and textures, crafting unique backgrounds and details that bring their art to life.

• Mixing on Palettes: We emphasize the importance of mixing colors on palettes, teaching kids how to create new shades and combine colors to enhance their artistic expression.

• Sketching with Charcoal and Pastels: Confidence-building is key! We encourage our students to sketch and draft their ideas with charcoal and pastels before moving on to paint.
